The question of Islam’s role in the West has been a great concern since 9/11. It was the primary, core bout to be taken up after various terror attacks sowed fear into Western populations; of what it meant to have large groups of Muslims living and working in your city or neighborhood. Some of this died down after a decade, due to what many activists and politicians deemed to be a “warming up” of the American public to other religious and ethnic groups. Then came 2015, when Donald Trump announced his candidacy for president. The landscape changed on the right permanently to a populist movement of Americans seeing in Trump a leader that can help them ‘take their country back’, particularly from the regime that has no issue importing millions of migrants that Americans did not consent to accepting for their undercover interests.
